Chillies, chopped
fresh herbs
olive oil
6 medium, fresh whole whiting
wholemeal flour
lemon juice


1. Marinate chillies and herbs in olive oil
2.  Wash and clean whiting thoroughly. Dust with flour
3.  Heat in pan butter and olive oil in which herbs and chillies are marinating
4. Fry turning once and squeezing lemon juice on either side
5. When golden brown and just cooked through about 10 minutes
6. Remove from pan and serve decorated with parsley
