2 Spanish mackerel steaks
2 tablespoons minced garlic
Sea salt or rock salt
Black pepper
Liquid seasoning
1/2 a lemon
Olive oil
1 tablespoon salted butter, optional


1. Season fish steaks some salt and fresh cracked pepper both sides
2. Add a few drops of liquid seasoning. I used Knorr
3. Squeeze juice from half a lemon over steaks. Set aside
4. Heat a non-stick pan or skillet
5. Pour in 3 tablespoons olive oil Set to medium heat
6. Lightly toast minced garlic until light brown
7. Sear steaks 3 to 4 minutes each side
8. Flip over and continue cooking. Add butter if desired
9. Plate and garnish with lemon wedge
10. Pour remaining garlic oil-butter over the fish
11. Serve immediately
