1 (about 440g) package small won ton wrappers
2 x 250g cream cheese softened
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
½ teaspoon chopped fresh coriander
½ teaspoon dried parsley
3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
500g crab meat shredded
1 Litre oil for frying


1. Heat oil in a large heavy skillet or deep fryer 360 degrees F 180 degrees C
2. Combine cream cheese, soy, ginger, garlic, parsley, coriander and crabmeat
3. Place 1/2-1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture in centre of each wonton wrapper
4. Fold won ton wrapper over stuffing to make a triangle or a half moon
5. Depending on the shape of the won ton wrappers you have purchased
6. Moisten the edges with a little water, and seal
7. Place prepared won tons under a slightly moist paper towel until ready for use
8. Add 3 or 4 wontons to the hot oil, and cook until golden brown, turning once
9. Set aside on paper towel to drain. Repeat until all wontons have been fried, serve hot
