Ingredients

16 slices sourdough bread
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 teaspoon lemon zest
3 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill, divided
1/2 teaspoon salt
375g cooked crabmeat
2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
32 (1/4-inch-thick) Roma tomato slices
125g Gruyere cheese, grated (about 1 cup)
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat grill
2. Arrange bread slices in a single layer on a baking sheet
3. Toast 1 to 2 minutes each side until lightly golden
4. Whisk together mayonnaise, lemon zest, 3 tablespoons dill, 1/4 teaspoon salt
5. Combine crab, onion, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a medium mixing bowl
6. Add 2 tablespoons mayonnaise mixture to crab mixture stir to combine
7. Spread remaining mayonnaise mixture evenly over toasts
8. Divide crab mixture evenly on top and top with tomato slices and cheese
9. Grill 3 minutes or until cheese melts
10. Sprinkle with black pepper and remaining 1/2 tablespoon dill
11. Serve immediately
