Ingredients

Fresh sardines
Olive oil
Lemon
Coarse salt

Instructions

1. Rinse the sardines in cool water and pat dry with paper towels
2. Place sardines in shallow dish, drizzle with olive oil and a little coarse salt
3. Place in the refrigerator to marinate for up to 1 hour.
4. Heat up a grill to medium heat
5. Rub olive oil on grill to prevent sticking before you place sardines on
6. Place the sardines on the hot grill for about 3 minutes
7. Use a flat metal spatula, flip sardines and cook other side about 1 minute
8. Remove the sardines from the grill to serving dish
9. Sprinkle with some more salt and arrange lemon wedges to serve
